Biography
Konrad LaPrade serves as the President and CEO of Fort Wayne Newspapers and KPC Media. He’s new to the Hoosier state, moving here with his wife and 4 children in late 2024.
Prior to relocating here, Konrad spent 5 years in Delaware leading a media organization on the eastern shore of Maryland and Delaware. While in this role, Konrad started 4 brand-new newspapers as well as a major rebrand of the Delaware State News (changing it to the Daily State News).
Konrad’s interest in newspapers began at a young age while observing the work of his father, a newsman of 4 decades.
While attending Hillsdale College, Konrad found a home working at the college paper and ended up falling in love with and later marrying his editor.
Throughout his career, he has created several million dollars in live events as well as digital agency sales while focusing extensively on building sales teams for media organizations. He’s worked in upstate New York, Charlotte, Greenville, and Maryland and Delaware.
He’s passionate about the community and wants to create products and spaces that bring together a diverse group of people in order to foster long-form conversation.
Prior to coming to Fort Wayne, Konrad served on multiple chamber boards and has been an participant in his local church and Rotary. He hopes to continue serving in these capacities in Fort Wayne.
